05/06/2011 - As the runway has dried out there are a few cracks appearing at certain points and some are up to an inch wide in places. Anybody flying with small wheels etc might want to walk their proposed take off and landing points before flying to avoid possible damage to their model. I have filled in some of the bigger cracks with sand in the center of the runway but just be aware.

27/4/2011 - A big 'Thank you' to everybody who supported this years indoor flying. The season is now over and the next indoor event is a four hour session booked for Sunday 30th October between 14:00 and 18:00. The first regular Tuesday session will be 1st November. Hopefully see you all there again.

21/3/2011 - It was Colin Booths funeral today and Alan attended on behalf of CMFC. Our thoughts are with his family.

18/3/2011 - Due to the last 24 hours of rain, the entrance to the field and the track to the patch are again wet. It is advisable to get out at the gate and check the conditions before you attempt to drive to the patch. Hopefully things will dry out again over the next day or two.

11/3/2011 - The field is now accessible by car! The runways have been mown today and we were able to drive to the pit area. I suggest anybody driving to the patch stops in the gateway and carries out a quick check of the ground condition before proceeding by car. If you keep to the left on the way into the field and don't stop you should be ok. The worst part of ground is the first 50 meters or so after the gate. I will be rolling the runways early next week and I will also try to improve the entrance.

4/3/2011 - The Club now has a fixed wing Trainer to go alongside its Heli trainer. Kindly donated by Modelmaniacs of Calne, the club now has a Chris Foss Wot Trainer available for anybody wanting to learn to fly fixed wing in the coming seasons.

4/3/2011 - The field was visited today and although it is beginning to dry out, it is still not accessible by car. The patch is walkable from the entrance to the field for any keen flyers, but wellies are strongly recommended! If we have a dry week or two we should be able to drive in ok. We will keep you posted but if you need a live update then feel free to contact Alan as he lives close by.

26/2/2011 - We have a special guest booked for Indoor Flying on Tuesday 8th March - John Stennard from Q&EFI will be attending our Indoor Flying session to share his knowledge and expertise on all things Indoor. It will be a two hour session, consisting of an hours flying in the hall between 1900-2000, followed by an hour upstairs in the meeting room between 2000-2100, for general chat, discussion and questions etc. Please make the most of this opportunity and welcome John to our Indoor meeting.

22/2/2011 - Please note that due to the recent rain, the flying site is waterlogged and it is strongly advised that you don't attempt to use it. The only access to the patch is down the left hand side of the field, following the track, but this is currently under water and you will get stuck. The Pits and Runways are also very wet. We will monitor the situation and update you as soon as we think it is possible to drive to the patch again.

21/12/2010 - Due to the Leisure Centre being closed, there will be no indoor flying on 28th December.

20/12/2010 - Indoor flying is booked for every Tuesday between 1900 -2000 until 26th April 2011.
